We started our day with 10-15 minutes of independent reading. We then began a writing exercise. Students were tasked with describing a place using a specific mood. Students shared their writing in partners and then with the class.
We began re-watching Spirited Away. Students had their notes out and were planning specific examples they could use to support their thesis statements. We'll have time to work on our essays in class on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday next week. Our first draft is due Friday, February 9. Reminder: we're just one week away from our Theatre Calgary field trip.
